Stone masonry uses naturally found materials and is one of the oldest masonry techniques used to date.  Stone masonry can produce either an old world look using natural stone or a modern design using cultured stone, and everything in between. Full depth, natural stone is one of the strongest materials you can use in your project.  Because of it’s organic nature, it is naturally heavier than cultured stone and requires the support of a specific type of foundation and may require additional costs to your project. If you want the same look of natural stone without the additional foundation support (and costs that may incur), cultured stone can provide the same look and be applied to any surface in or around your home.
